Designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s. Original and very very rare "Light Grey" fibreglass weave shell mounted on new shockmounts and new walnut base. Original Herman Miller stamp on underside of shell.
WE HAVE NEVER HAD THIS COLOUR IN 15 YEARS SO A COLLECTORS COLOUR
The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models.
This chair can alternatively be supplied with an oak or American maple wood base, if you would prefer.
In good vintage condition. No chips or cracks in the fibreglass. The shockmounts are in good condition. Some discolouration to the seat, price reflects this.
The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please let us know in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
A stunning chair - a totally classic, very collectable piece. It's hard to pick a favourite Eames colour, but this has got to be on the shortlist.
